For years, we have seen how our more senior workers have contributed to MCH in so many ways as drivers, managers, caregivers, coaches and more. They also have been involved in our various workplaces, and they just make our special needs community feel more accepted. With an increased budget for 2024, our minimum pay is higher per hour to start with benefits that accrue over time in terms of paid PTOs and bonuses. Starting wage and benefits are negotiable. Medina Creative Housing is a offering new and unique Internship Program. With an increased budget for 2024, we have a chance to pay interns $16 per hour to start with benefits that accrue over time in terms of paid PTOs and bonuses. We will offer $1,000 scholarships to our best performing interns. Our interns will learn while they earn!

Empower Lives as a Direct Support Professional (DSP):

Medina Creative Housing (MCH) and its affiliate organization, Medina Creative Accessibility (MCA), are committed non-profit organizations dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities by providing them with the necessary care and life skills to enhance their journey towards independence. MCA offers a diverse range of non-medical services and programs designed to support individuals in acquiring essential life and job skills, fostering better integration into our community.


We are currently seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Direct Support Professionals, essential team members who provide mentorship and care to individuals with disabilities in their homes. We are looking for candidates who embody qualities such as compassion, reliability, responsibility, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of our customers.


As part of this role, candidates will assist with various activities, including home skills, cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, hygiene, exercise, shopping, and accompanying individuals to community events such as movies and library outings. The majority of the individuals we serve reside in our modern housing communities.


We offer flexible schedules, ranging from 3 to 7 days a week, with opportunities available in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings. You can even get paid while you sleep during our 10 pm to 9 am shift, which allows for sleep, while maintaining an as-needed service!


No prior experience in the healthcare industry is necessary, as we will provide comprehensive initial and ongoing training. And rest assured if you aren't certified. We'll offer training after 90 days of employment, especially for roles that mandate certification in your workplace.

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Ensure the health and safety of individuals at all times
  • Attending community outings with individuals and transporting to and from
  • Assist and teach meal preparation, household chores and other daily living skills

  • Completing daily documentation

Requirements

  • No previous experience required. MCA provides all necessary skills training.

Summer Camp Staff

Medina Creative Accessibility is seeking Camp Staff for our Summer Camp Program for 2023! Our mission is to provide opportunities for those with physical and/or developmental disabilities become more independently skilled. Our 2023 Camp Program will be based at our 600 sq ft treehouse, which also sits on our grounds containing our therapeutic horse barn, Life Skills Lodge, hiking trails, and 38 acres of wooded property. The days will be filled with life skills training, exercise, and self esteem-building activities. We'll also have themed weeks, such as Wildlife Adventures, Tech & Science based exploration, activities at our Horse Barn, as well as community outings aimed to expand our campers' life experiences.


Camp runs from early-June through the mid-August. Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. Candidates must have a high school diploma/GED, a valid Drivers License and auto insurance, and pass a criminal background check. MCA will train and get you certified for First Aid/CPR. Property Maintenance Technician

Medina Creative Housing is in search of a Property Maintenance Technician to join our Team! We're growing and looking to find candidates to be a part of that growth. The Property Maintenance Tech, once trained, will ensure all aspects of company sites and facilities to be safe, in good appearance, and always maintained in accordance with company guidelines and health & safety requirements. Some maintenance/property maintenance experience preferred, but not required. We'll train the right candidate(s)!


Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm. Weekend on-call rotates within Maintenance Dept.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Perform maintenance or repairs in one or more skill areas, including minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical repairs or installation, and HVAC.


Requirements for the role include:

  • Identify, communicate, and correct unsafe working conditions with management oversight.
  • Work closely with all worksite supervisors to ensure property is in good working condition.
  • Attend Training and monthly Continuing Education programs as assigned.
  • Complete all work orders in a timely and safe manner with highest quality.
  • Turn in all paperwork, receipts, and any other documentation in a timely manner.
  • Maintain on-call status when necessary/assigned (rotating responsibility).
  • Comfortable traveling throughout our service areas to our facilities.
  • Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
  • Keep work areas neat and organized.
  • Apply OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work as applicable.
  • Know and follow all emergency procedures.
  • Assist with special events as assigned.
  • Must have and demonstrate good communication skills.
  • Work with consumers to teach and train on work orders and projects.
  • Must have valid driver license, current auto insurance, and proof of HS Diploma/GED.
  • Duties assigned by the CEO, the Director of Operations, and/or Maintenance Manager.

Life Skills Day Program

Medina Creative Housing (MCH) and affiliate Medina Creative Accessibility (MCA) is looking for staff at our Creative Living Wellness Center, located in Medina. At this center, our Day Program staff provides and teaches a multitude of life skills to  individuals with physical and/or developmental disabilities. These influential skills contribute to the participants' efforts to enhance their quest for independence.


Day Program participants get to experience learning in a positive and unique way! The curriculum includes: daily living skills, meal prep, socialization, yoga, music, art, games, and money and budgeting techniques. We have multiple rooms in our Creative Living Wellness Center open for learning, socializing, and just having fun!

Day Program Staff - Middleburg Heights

Medina Creative Housing (MCH) and affiliate organization Medina Creative Accessibility's (MCA) new facility in Middleburg Heights, OH is looking for staff! MCA is looking for staff at our new program - Lifestyles, housed within a 3,500 sq. ft Day Program facility.


At our new Lifestyles facility, our staff provide & teach a multitude of skills to our individuals with physical and/or developmental disabilities. These impactful skills aid in our individuals' pursuit of broadening their independence.


Our individuals get to experience learning in a modern, positive, and unique way! The curriculum includes: daily living skills, meal prep, socialization, and money & budgeting techniques. It also adds: yoga, music, art, games, visits to our therapeutic horse barn in Medina, OH, and nature-based outings within The MetroParks. Incoming staff will work as a Team, under the guidance of the Day Program Manager, to deliver the curriculum to our individuals in a caring and personal approach.

Grande Café & Roastery Worker

We are looking add staff to our Medina, OH location - the Grande Cafe and Coffee Roastery!


At our Grande Cafe and Roastery, we use a farm-to-table approach to offer the freshest cuisine to our patrons. We coordinate with our own hydroponic greenhouse in Medina to produce sustainable options with our menu items. We also utilize our on-site roastery to produce the freshest coffee options.


Additionally, we offer a mentoring environment in which our Staff teach job skills to the individuals that drive our Mission and Values at Medina Creative Accessibility.


Our Grande Cafe operates Monday - Saturday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, and Sunday 8:00 am - 2:00 pm. Part-time and Full-time schedules available.


Previous food industry experience is not required - we will train.

Non-Medical Transportation Drivers

Medina Creative Housing (MCH) and affiliate organization Medina Creative Accessibility (MCA)  is looking to add drivers to our Transportation Dept in Medina, Ohio! Here at Medina Creative Accessibility / Medina Creative Housing, we offer programs, services, and housing for individuals with physical and/or developmental disabilities. Our Mission is to further the opportunities for individuals along their path to independence.


Our Non-Medical Transportation Drivers are at the base of our organization, as they transport individuals to and from their Medina-based programs. Transportation schedules are steady, reliable, and consistent. Part-time and Full-time opportunities are available. All drivers use our MCA fleet of company vehicles for routes, and our fleet consists of non-CDL vans and shuttles.

Part-Time Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the health, safety and welfare of the individuals we provide services to. The goal of the RN is to ensure compliance of all Medication Administration.


Some tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • All medication assessments at Medina Creative Day Supports, all Vocational Habilitation locations, Life Steps programs and residential homes
  • All Medication Administration Records (MARs) at Medina Creative Day Supports, all Vocational Habilitation locations, Life Steps programs and residential homes, this includes MAR review and medication reconciliation
  • All Individual Specific Training (IST)
  • Communication with Individual’s Guardian and/or Physician (varies based on needs) for medication verification, questions, order corrections, etc.
  • Quality Assurance Review
  • Delegation Supervision (on call/on site during al operating hours for areas requiring delegated nursing services)

Pet Play Worker

Medina Creative Housing (MCH) and it's affiliate organization Medina Creative Accessibility (MCA) is hiring Dog Care Workers for our Pet Play dog daycare and boarding facility in Medina, OH. No experience necessary; willing to train. We ensure the health and safety of the dogs in our care, as well as provide them with a fun and exciting environment to spend their day!


As a Pet Play employee, you will:

  • Interact with dogs in playgrounds to ensure safe levels of play and minimize dog stress levels.
  • Maintain visual observation of dogs at all times and spread attention and play among all dogs.
  • Control level of play by following dog management and control procedures.
  • Use proper dog handling techniques as instructed by management.
  • Use proper dog introductions.
  • Use appropriate praise and correction methods.
  • Ensure you know all dogs in playgrounds and can properly identify them. If not, request help.
  • Watch all new dogs carefully and immediately consult with management if you have concerns.
  • Report all unusual behavior, eliminations, or injuries to management immediately.
  • Conduct appropriate, timely, and thorough cleaning procedures.
  • Greet customers promptly and pleasantly.
  • Answer phones as needed.
  • Other general office duties as they apply.


Candidates for MCA and Pet Play need the following:
