Community Lifestyles Coordinator - Pepper Pike:

The Compliance and Services Manager is responsible for billing all services provided by Medina Creative Accessibility (MCA) and collaborating with fiscal departments within and outside of MCA to ensure timely receipt of payments for these services. They will also be responsible for supervising and managing all Vocational Habilitation & Group Employment locations, ensuring compliance with regulations from DODD and MCBDD at all times. This includes keeping policies, procedures, certifications, and paperwork up to date and in compliance with relevant organizations such as the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) and the Department of Labor. They also create and maintain a certifications database to ensure timely employee training and certification updates.


Duties by Category Include:


Compliance and Training Tasks:

  • Understand and comply with all policies and procedures
  • Understand and comply with all Individual Service Plans.
  • Provide training to Vocational Habilitation, Group Employment, and HPC staff when needed.
  • Develop and implement Achievement Outcomes for all consumers in Vocational Habilitation, Group Employment, and HPC sites.
  • Conduct Employee ISP training when updates occur.
  • Conduct employee initial ISP training and CPR.
  • Training of staff on areas of consumer needs.
  • Create service and skill documentation sheets from ISP's as directed.
  • Ensure documentation is completed for all services in Vocational Habilitation & Group Employment sites.
  • Meet with Vocational Habilitation & Group Employment Managers to discuss concerns, progress, or areas of improvement.
  • Keep current with the DODD regulations by attending seminars and/or trainings as available with the approval of supervisor.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to encourage positive outcomes.
  • Assist with ensuring all existing and newly implemented policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are disseminated to employees, as neeed, and that all employees are trained on any applicable items.

Administrative and Communication Tasks:

  • Maintain open communication with all the Vocational Habilitation and Group Employment Managers/Staff.
  • Handling all emails and phone calls promptly.
  • Prepare reports as requested from BRITTCO for management.
  • Work closely with HR, Supervisors, and Directors maintaining open lines of communication and assisting with retraining of staff.
  • Keep thorough records, either paper or electronic, of billed materials for potential audits.
  • Ensure all appointments are attended and follow up to ensure that all documents are received from the appointments.
  • Ensure all staff receive annual mandated training by DODD, preparing the training checklists for each staff member.
  • Attend to all compliance issues, documentation, and records.

Staff Management:

  • Fill in as direct care is needed.
  • Fill in as substitute worksite staff member as needed.
  • Communicate with HR and the COO when staff conflicts arise.
  • Complete all 90-day assessments.
  • Complete annual evaluations for employees under your supervision.
  • Be a part of the emergency on-call rotation.

Financial and Billing Tasks:

  • Communicate with the fiscal department and the Services Manager to assist in rectifying all billing issues in a timely and professional manner so that billing for all services rendered is received.
  • Keep thorough records, either paper or electronic, or billed materials for the purpose of potential audits.

Other Duties:

  • Conduct MUI investigations.
  • Conduct crisis management when warranted.
  • Manage scheduling conflicts as needed.
  • Manage compliance issues, documentation and records.
  • Manage other duties of the organization as requested by COO or CEO.
  • Updating all current policies, and procedures ongoing as needed.



MCA Employee Requirements:

  • Experience in DODD
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must attend Continuing Education
