Life Skills Day Program Job Description

Life Skills Day Program Worker:

The Life Skills Day Program Worker is to work closely with the Adult Day Services Manager in overseeing the operations of the day program for which he/she is placed. They must oversee the individuals and ensure the overall health and safety of all co-workers and individuals. The Life Skills Day Program worker is responsible for all tasks assigned and will, to the best of their ability, help the individuals under their care to learn skills necessary for daily living and community membership. Some of the tasks associated with the Life Skills Day Program Worker include, but are not limited to:


  • Know and comply with all Medina Creative Accessibility (MCA) procedures and help train co-workers in following these procedures
  • Know and follow all behavioral plans and ISPs.
  • Maintain all tracking logs, and document logs and help train co-workers on proper documentation procedure.
  • Maintain contact with the Adult Day Program Services Lead and Adult Day Services Manager.
  • Turn in all paperwork, receipts, and any other documents promptly.
  • Attend ISP meetings as requested.
  • Know and follow all emergency procedures.
  • Display good work-related manners and habits.
  • Work with the adult Day Services Manager and any managers in the organizing and completing all projects and/or endeavors promptly.
  • Complete all duties assigned to you by the Adult Day Services Manager.



MCA Employee Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Criminal background check (provided)
  • Written assurance that the applicant is not on the abuser registry or nurse aid registry, Medicais/Medicare Excluded Individuals/Entities Program (LEIE)
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid (training provided)
  • Ongoing annual training
  • Training related to, and the prevention of, incidents adversely affecting health and safety (training provided)
  • Individual Rights Training (training provided)
  • Compliance with requirements of behavior supports
  • Training in behavior supports (training provided)
  • Must have a valid Ohio drivers license / Ohio vehicle insurance coverage and reliable vehicle transportation at all times
  • Medication Administration Certification (training provided if applicable)
  • Ability to life 50lbs or more
