The Medina AAUW Chapter chose Dianne DePasquale-Hagerty to honor this year as its “Agent of Change” Nov. 15 at the Rustic Hills Country Club.
Dorothy Ulich introduced the honoree and said that DePasquale-Hagerty has the ability to understand people; she has passion and a vision; she can empathize; she looks for ways to improve each individual life of her disabled clients by providing a community of support.

DePasquale-Hagerty spoke about her 8½ years as Executive Director of Creative Housing. She said she was drawn to the job because she has an autistic nephew and a brother with disabilities from a car accident. She left her former career in law to join Creative Housing — a fledgling non-profit with lofty goals. She found that “individuals with disabilities wanted the same things we all do…”
