Medina Creative Housing (MCH) proudly accepted the Michael Berken Peace & Justice Award on April 5, 2012 at the 25th Annual Blessed John Paul II, Proclaimer of Justice, Gala Dinner held at St. Ambrose in Brunswick. This award is presented by the Catholic Commission of Wayne, Ashland & Medina to individuals and organizations pursuing and advancing justice and peace in our local communities and beyond. Medina Creative Housing was this year’s recipient of the Organization Award for creating opportunities and building hope for Medina County residents with disabilities.
The award was received by Medina Creative Housing’s Executive Director, Dianne DePasquale-Hagerty, whose tireless efforts over the past eight years has dreamed and created the incredible array of service, training, housing, employment, and therapies offered at MCH. The Michael Berken Peace & Justice Award is a testament to Dianne’s far-reaching vision and to her staff and the people with disabilities who give Medina Creative Housing its life purpose.
