For the seventh consecutive year, the residents and the many others who benefit from the multitude of programs offered by Medina Creative Housing led a long line of supporters in the annual July 3 Independence Walk – Walking Together, Living Independently.
This event was originally initiated by MCH residents Michelle Workman and Jen Cockrell as a way of demonstrating their united effort to successfully overcome obstacles faced by individuals with disabilities. They wanted the community to come celebrate with them, get to know them, and see their accomplishments.
Prior to getting underway, Medina Creative Housing CEO Dianne DePasquale-Hagerty thanked everyone for again attending this momentous event, extended gratitude to the sponsors who have made it possible every year, and spoke briefly about the accomplishments of MCH, founded 24 years ago.
