Coffee Ribbon Cutting

Ashley Bonsell was excited to start work. “I can’t wait to start brewing this place up,” she told a crowd at the official opening of the Books & Brew Café now located inside the Brunswick Community Library.

Three years ago, Bonsell moved to Medina County Creative Living where she was able to begin living independently and where she was able to hone her social skills. Since then, she has been working with Medina Creative Housing to develop her employment skills looking for the perfect fit.

“Thanks to Ticket to Work and the transportation provided to me, I am excited to work here, and am looking forward to financial and life independence,” Bonsell said, “Thank you for brewing this up.”

Ashley’s story fits perfectly into the vision of Medina Creative Housing, who partnered with the Medina County District Library to create the Books & Brew Cafe. That vision statement says that as the organizations looks to the future, “we see more and more opportunities to continue to build hope, develop confidence and create freedom.”
